Nan and Pop's 50th Anniversary Party!!!!!!

Hi it's Lilli!!!
I just wanted to post my Grandma and Grandpa's[Nan and Pop's]
50th Anniversary Party!!!!
It was last Sunday on the 18th!!!!!

This was the picture frame of them when they got married October 16th 1959
and now 50 years later in 2009!!!!!!

This was the Guests book!!!!
We had 130 people that showed up!!!!!

This is a copy of their Marriage License printed in gold!!!

This is Nan's old Wedding dress she wore on the day they got
Married!!!!

This is Nan opening her presents!!!!!
The whole family is going to give Nan a new bathroom and we all had
Pop's old truck fixed up for they're presents!!!

This was the food!!!

And this was the fruit stand my Uncle Dale made!!!

These were the balloons!!!!!

And after the party was over we all went outside and let the balloons go!!!!

This was the beautiful cake!!!
I think Joyce did VERY well!!!!!

And this is some decorating we did and we had Nan and Pop's wedding picture resized
really big!!!

This was the whole family!!!

Well I think we really pulled it off!!!!!
Nan and Pop LOVED it and we all had a LOT of FUN!!!

6 ft. long and 6 flavored Mardi Gras Cake!!!!!!!

This is the center of the cake!!!!
This year the Mardi Gras has been at Winchester IN. for
63 years!!!

And these are the sides of the cake!!!!!!

Well this past Saturday me and mom

toke my Grandma[ NaN] to the Country

Kitchen Restaurant to pick

out a cake for her 50th Anniversary

Party and the owner Joyce that makes the cakes and decorates

them has made the Mardi Gras Cake for

12 years in a row!! And this is the

one she made for this year!!!!

It's all decked out for Halloween!!!!

It's 6 foot long and has 6 flavors in it [YUM]!!!
And at the last day at the Mardi Gras when they have the Parade
they hand pieces out to the crowd and they
Crown the Mardi Gras King and Queen!!!
And once my Grandma NaN was Queen when she was in High School!!!
Isn't that cool????!!!!
I think Joyce is very good at it and am VERY anxious to see what my Grandma and Grandpa's
50th Anniversary cake will look like!!!
